INFORMATION FOR VISITORS TO OUR SERVICES

Visitors are warmly welcomed. To make your visit more comfortable and enjoyable, we have put together the following guidelines to help you feel at home:

• please enter the church quietly and in good time for the start of the service
• you will be handed a service booklet, and a newsletter
• please take a seat, and use the time before the service for quiet prayer and reflection in preparation for worship, and to prepare your offering (see below)
• we stand as the Vicar enters the church
• there are guidelines included in the service booklet to explain where standing/sitting/kneeling is appropriate - if in doubt, follow everyone else!
• a collection will be taken during the service. If you are a UK taxpayer, please use the envelopes on the pews for your donation, as the Church can recover £28 of every £100 donated by way of a tax refund. This make a huge difference to us as we continue to try to maintain our beautiful buildings and regular pattern of Services.
• if you are a regular communicant at another church, you are welcome to join us for Holy Communion
• if you are a member of the Church of England, but not confirmed, you are welcome to come to the altar during Communion for a blessing. Please hold your service book, and keep your head bowed during the blessing. Christians of other denominations are welcome to receive Communion if they wish to do so.
• At the end of the service, please come and say hello to the rest of the congregation - it's always nice to see new faces.
